Caroline L. Conley, LCSW
Contract Therapist
Caroline Conley is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides psychotherapy to individuals (adolescents and adults), couples, and families. Caroline received her Master's degree in clinical social work at Columbia University in New York, training in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Caroline has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which she received while working in a Partial Hospitalization setting at Payne Whitney Cornell Weill Medical Center, in New York.
Caroline's experience ranges from working within a dual diagnosis clinic treating patients with co-occurring mental health issues and substance abuse to working in hospital settings with adults, adolescents and children, and also providing family therapy.
While Caroline draws from Family Systems Theory and a Psychodynamic framework, she tailors her approach to the individual needs of her clients. Caroline believes that we all identify ourselves within the context of our relationships: those with other people and the relationship one has with oneself. She helps individuals repair their relationships with others and works to help people figure out how to improve their lives to become happier. Caroline specializes in anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. Caroline works to understand, empathize, and to help the client hold emotional insight into their personal issues; she works with the client to get them to a goal which brings on satisfaction and fulfillment.
Caroline is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Workers.
